Feeding Equipment
Most Farmers like a tidy yard and a neat feeding area for their animals - There’s always something messy about stock walking on top of, or soiling, their hay or silage. We’re all familiar with the image of the bale of hay or haylage being left out in the field for the horses to self feed - nothing wrong with that, except after a day or two, half the field can be strewn with waste feed.
We have come up what looks the perfect solution to the “tidy feeding” of horses outside. Their plastic HayBell snugly fits in over the unwrapped bale, with feeding space for the horse to fodder away ad-lib, but without dragging loose hay all over the place. The HayBell fits snugly over the bale, protecting it from the weather and preventing the feed being walked upon by the horses. This wastage that can amount to in excess of one third of a round bale which is almost totally eliminated by the Haybell.
The Haybell is easy to manoeuvre – a one person operation is all that is needed to tip and flip it back over. It offers great stability due it its low centre of gravity and wide footprint and rib base which stops horses pushing it around or over. It is also nestable as multiple units can be stacked neatly away when not in use. With no metal parts to break or rust, it is very safe for horses.
Overall, HayBell provides excellent value for money as an ideal solution for storing hay and feeding horses!
